TX Restrictions
From Vectis Amateur Radio Group (Facebook).
Ofcom Amateur Radio Licence conditions include several zones where restrictions apply. A restriction isn’t saying “thou shalt not transmit”; rather, our licences indicate what restriction is in place (such as limited power, limited frequencies, etc).
Red markers on the map indicate National Grid References (NGR), while yellow circles give their area (50 km radius). See your licence and the RSGB band plans for the relevant frequency bands and conditions that are restricted in these areas.
Why: The majority of these sites are associated with listening and gathering intelligence. Amateur radio operators need to be aware of the restrictions on their radio transmissions within these zones.
