TX Restrictions
From Vectis Amateur Radio Group (Facebook).
Ofcom Amateur Radio Licence conditions include a number of zones where restrictions apply. A restriction isn’t saying “thou shalt not transmit”; rather our licences indicate what restriction is in place (such as limited power, or limited frequencies, etc).
Red markers on the map indicate National Grid References (NGR), while yellow circles give their area (50km radius). Refer to the licence for the details of the applicable frequency bands and conditions that are restricted in these areas.
Most of these sites are related to intelligence listening and gathering. Amateur radio operators need to be aware of the restrictions on their radio transmissions within these zones.
