July 2024 – a couple of “Gen Z’ers” going out fishing come across a ham radio operator who’s having a quiet morning in the field.

Their fascination is utterly captivating: (“…is that your antenna?!!?”), exclaiming disbelief when hearing how the operator was transmitting to others across the world (“no way…!”) and after the operator (Forrest KI7QCF) explains about the conversation he was receiving in Morse (“WHAT?! How the h*** do you know he said that!?”).

Who says this is a hobby that interests only old men?
