Silent Key Support
We regularly assist bereaved families with finding buyers and recipients for sold and donated Silent Key (SK†) amateur radio equipment.
When a loved one passes away, they might find themselves uncertain about how to part with their hobby belongings. A club with experience in handling used amateur radio equipment after a bereavement can be a godsend, especially at such distressing times.
Donating/Reselling Amateur Radio Equipment
Talk with us about how we can help with the reselling and/or donating of bequeathed amateur radio equipment.
We will treat your situation with respect and ensure that the equipment finds good homes with people who appreciate its value.
We’re able to help you value the equipment and make sure it’s in working order.
We can pass on details of the equipment to our club members and others in the vicinity.
We can pick up the equipment from you and return funds raised, or have interested amateur radio operators contact you directly to arrange to pick up the equipment.
Your passed family member need not have been a member of our club.
We will discuss options with you and how you might prefer to receive any funds raised by Silent Key equipment sales; whatever works best.

When there’s family loss, FPARC can help manage the resellling/donation of bequeathed amateur radio equipment

† “Silent Key” is a term of respect for a deceased amateur radio operator. The “key” refers to a telegraph key, the instrument that all early amateur radio operators (as well as many contemporary amateur radio operators) used to send Morse code. Silent Key is our analogy for bereavement.
